Gatsby.

So, this Thursday, we finally got to see The Great Gatsby. My expectations were higher that high, having longed for this movie since Christmas (when it was first due to be releazed). My thoughts? Well, it’s great. It really is. But it didn’t blow me away. I wanted more parties, more music (no song was allowed to play full-lenght?) and more of that timid feeling of anxiety that the novel carries throughout.

Anyways. Seeing the film did of course awake the very important thought of “when are we having our 20s theme party so that we can dress up in drop-waist dresses and shimmering hats?!” - getting this legendary Grace Coddington editorial in mind.

I’m in total vacation mood right now, having this Acne x Borsalino hat high on my wishlist for summer.

Surprise! Navy is trending (thanks for that term, Garancé!) this summer season. Well, by now, we know that many trends - summer trends in particular - tend to run in cycles. And many of us still fall in love with the stripes, the white jeans and the shirts each june - it’s simply the ultimate summer wardrobe, full of that sense of freedom one’s looking for when vacation time starts to arrive. I at least, wouldn’t mind the looks of above (neither would I mind that boat).

At the top of my home wish list

Only three weeks to go and then I’m moving to yet another new apartment. I’m longing so much after a home which I can decorate exactly as I wish to. RIght now, I’m obsessed with Curtis Kulig’s Love me-print. A large one (like the red above) would be optimal, but I also like the small floral prints he’s made for Saturdays.

This here is pure dress perfection. If I ever get married, I’d like to say ‘I do’ in a piece like this; Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci.

I’ve had a great weekend; full of fun and empty of sleep. Now: some work duties and start-up on my latest project: move number 5. Hope you guys have had an awesome weekend as well!

The PS1 chain wallet

I prefer carrying around on small bags rather than large shoulder ones - probably cause I tend to put in way too much stuff in my large ones, things that I rarely need to bring with me. I rather carry a tiny bag and then a simple tote next to it with my computer and notebooks. This above; the PS1 Large Chain Wallet by Proenza Schouler is at the top of my list right now.

Summer wish list, here’s another addition.

Can someone please get me with this Stella McCartney jacket and skirt set? Would be perfect for our 10 year-party.
